Fishing Charter FAQ’s
- Do you provide groups for single fishermen?
All of our fishing charters are designed for the guest experience on an individual charter basis, therefore we are unable to put people together to form groups for charters. We do have a 1 person rate.
- Do you do group charters?
Yes we do group charters. Please contact our office for details.
- What type of fishing happens on a fishing charter?
Our guides troll fish for pacific salmon. Depending on the species (Chinook, King, Coho, Silver, Pink, Sockeye, Chum) being targeted, the guide may engage different types of tackle. However we mainly troll at a speed of 2-3kn and the guide will set out the gear.
- Where do your charters fish?
It depends on the time of year and where the fish are biting most frequently.
- Where can I purchase a fishing license from?
DFO has now gone to an online licensing system and we encourage our customers to purchase their license online, but we too can provide a fishing license for you if you are unable to obtain it yourself.
- Up to how many people can your charter boats accommodate?
Our charters can accommodate anywhere from 1-6 guests, depending upon the boat size.
- How long are your fishing charters?
Our fishing charters are generally 5 hours. You are welcome to extend the hours for an additional cost if you would like to fish for longer.
- What is included in the price of a fishing charter?
The price of our fishing charters includes everything needed to fish including the boat and guide. The price does not include: food, beverages, fishing licenses, salmon stamps, and taxes.
- What is the cancellation policy for fishing charters?
We do require advanced cancellation (48hrs) for our fishing charters to prevent a charge to your credit card.
Marina FAQ’s
- Do you have moorage available?
Our moorage is currently full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist please complete the moorage application form at the bottom of the moorage page: https://www.sewellsmarina.com/about/moorage/
- Do you sell fuel?
Yes we sell both marine Mid-grade Gas and Diesel.
- Do you have vehicle parking?
Our vehicle parking is for our moorage customers and patrons of the marina facilities.
- Do you have a boat launch?
Yes we do have a launching ramp accessible to the public. We have 3 truck / trailer day use only stalls, which are
available on a first come first serve basis. Please contact the marina for pricing associated with the launching ramp and truck / trailer parking.
- Do you have long-term parking for a truck and trailer?
Unfortunately we don’t have long term parking for trucks and trailers. The closest facility to accommodate long term parking is Sunset Marina.
