For our distinguished guests, making this an unforgettable experience is our top priority. We have designed three different routes to please every adventurer.
Our Sea Safari trip called the “Deep Fjord Tour,” was introduced in 2014 and the response has been phenomenal. Your group will soar up the coastline with the eagles, farther north than our trip has ever gone before. As we travel this deep into the sound you will get a look at more of Vancouver’s history and see some untouched coast line, as it was before our great city was colonized. The trip will still highlight the wildlife of the sound: seals at Pam Rocks and birds around Christie Island, but will also add in some unique Bald Eagle nests and traditional First Nations locations. This trip is a true example of our west-coast fjord landscape littered with steep cliffs and hanging valleys. Two-hour trips are offered daily at 11:00am.
Our Bowen Explorer Tour, is the newest addition to our tour schedule. This 2-2.5 hour tour will take you on an amazing ride exploring the highlights of Howe Sound from hugging the coastline and islands to Howe Sound, all the while taking in the incredible wildlife. Check out the seal colony and bird sanctuary, not to mention the iconic Pt. Atkinson Lighthouse. With an experienced guide at the helm you won’t miss a thing. Want to extend your adventure; At 3:20pm the safari tour will take you into Snug Cove on Bowen Island if you would like to depart the Sea Safari at this time to explore the island shops and parks you are welcome to do so. If you choose this option the Snug Cove, Bowen Island BC Ferry will bring you back to Horseshoe Bay when you are ready. Otherwise you can stay aboard the Sea Safari and it will bring you back to Horseshoe Bay no later than 4:00pm. This tour is excellent for both locals and visitors, there is no better way to see the sights of a fjord and the beautiful skyline of Vancouver. It is a boat load of fun!
Our Circle Tour, the original Sea Safari trip, will take you on a wild ride weaving and hugging the coastline and islands of Howe Sound. You will see seals go about their everyday lives diving for fish or taking in the sun’s rays at Pam Rocks; you will witness their bird neighbours hanging out at Christie Island, a bird sanctuary where some of Vancouver’s most interesting birds call home. You will be amazed by the cliffs towering above as you explore the cool glacier water surrounding Anvil Island. The journey will continue along the Coast of Gambier Island and all the way around the island community of Bowen Island; then you will see some of Vancouver’s most spectacular waterfront homes of West Vancouver. There is no other way to experience the sights, smells, and sounds of Vancouver’s Sea to Sky community inhabited by Vancouver’s most interesting wildlife, join us as we are welcomed into their home. Two-hour trips are offered daily at 4:30pm; April 1st to mid September.
*Please note that trip routes may be altered due to weather, wildlife sightings etc.
